Hospice provides end-of-life comfort care to ease the physical and emotional pain of terminally ill patients. Care is delivered in the home or in an assisted living community.
In the home, volunteers are needed to support patients and their families by making social visits for companionship, or just staying with the patient while the caregiver/family member gets out for a few hours to run errands or attend medical appointments.
Hospice volunteers are not required to give hands-on care.
Hold a hand. Read aloud. Play music. Listen to cherished memories. Pat a shoulder. Give a hug. Touch a heart.
There are so many ways you can make a difference in the life of another. We are sure that you will enjoy being a part of the Banner Hospice’s family of volunteers.
Change a life...maybe your own.
