Maintenance and Grounds positions will require individuals with a variety of skill sets involving a desire to learn and advance in historic preservation, diverse building projects, special events operations, general site maintenance and maintaining historic site gardens and grounds. Preferred skill sets would hold experience in carpentry, painting, historic building and or equipment restoration, gardening, and most experiences in the trades.
Daily operations will involve a variety of situations and projects that will require an individual to work independently, or as a team member, or even a team leader, coordinating with a variety of support personnel from a wide diverse range of backgrounds coming to work at the museum for a wide diverse range of reasons. Daily shifts and work days vary with flexibility to try and accommodate life’s other demands.
