The primary responsibilities of this position are to operate mobile coaches.

Volunteers drive the mobile donor station to and from blood drives in a safe and timely manner. Assist donor services in the transportation of equipment to mobile blood drives. File and maintain all vehicle documentation, records, fuel summaries.

Training includes Complete the SOP’s, complete DQF paperwork
Go through training with another coach driver and complete road tests and inspections before driving it alone.

Qualifications :

Must possess a valid Class A Commercial driver's license
Must provide a current clean drivers record
Chauffeurs driving license preferred
A current medical certificate
If volunteer currently drives for another company, they will have to submit their log books to Manager of Fleet and Risk PRIOR to scheduling for any driving and will have to maintain actual log books for the hours they works for us as well. Since we are a 'secondary’ "employment", we will have to monitor the Hours of Service and not schedule the volunteer to go over the restrictions each week. We will need to know if their current employer operates on 7/80 week or a 6/70 work week-that will determine how often we allow them to volunteer.

If they are NOT currently employed driving somewhere, they will be able to utilize the time sheets that other drivers use here at with us.
