Tutors Needed for Adult Literacy Program

The Center for Career Pathways at Lehigh Carbon Community College's Allentown Campus is hosting a Tutor Orientation on Tuesday October 25th at 1pm.
The Center for Career Pathways is a grant funded program dedicated to working with adult students achieving academic and employment goals.
Tutors are needed to work with students in a variety of areas such as Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies as well as tutoring English as a Second Language students improve their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
During orientation prospective Tutors will hear more about the program overview, various Tutor opportunities as well as professional development on working with adult students.
Tutoring is an ongoing volunteer opportunity with a minimum of 3 hours of week required. Prospective Tutors need to have a Bachelor's degree in any field and will need to provide clearances.

Description
Career Pathaways is a free program that offers a sequence in educational curriculum designed to help students along the path to a career in a high priority occupation. The curriculum is based on the needs of industries in the Lehigh Valley and is work focused. We offer both day and evenign clases to students looking to obtain their GED plus there are classes for English language learners as well.
