Attention all ghouls, goblins, and witches! Halloween isn’t the only frightening thing taking place in October. This month, thousands of cigarette butts and other forms of litter will find their way onto the streets of San Diego. Scary right? That’s why ILACSD is partnering with Surfrider Foundation’s Hold On To Your Butt Committee to help remove debris on October 29th! Volunteers will meet at Bird Park in North Park, then walk down 30th street, picking up litter as they go. Some volunteers will also be assisting Surfrider in the maintenance of the cigarette ashcans located nearby. This event will be family friendly, and as always we encourage our volunteers to bring reusable items like a water bottle, work gloves, or a bucket! Wear a costume, because the volunteer with the best one wins a prize! Register today for a spooky good time.
