College Graduates
A group of college graduates at our annual fundraising event

Oh the Places You’ll Go! Is a speed-networking event for high school students with panels of professionals. First Graduate students get the chance to practice their networking skills, and the event generates excitement around the careers available to them with a college degree.

The career panels are designed to give our high school students a sense of the world of opportunities that will be available to them with a college degree, as well as concrete details about what the path might look like and the work it entails.

Volunteers sit on a panel with two to three other professionals and have discussions with several small groups of high school students about their careers and personal career paths. Students will be broken into small groups (2-3 students) and they will go though approximately 4 speed-networking rounds. You don't need to prepare anything specific to say, just be ready to tell your career story and answer questions. We want this to be a natural conversation so the students can get real world experience networking. All volunteers and students will go through a brief group training session upon arrival.
