HOSPICE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED (DFW AREA)

Accord Palliative and Hospice Care, Inc
is looking for volunteers to serve hospice patients and their families in the DFW area. The Hospice "Patient and Family Care" volunteers offer the same kind of assistance that a friend or close neighbor might give. They perform a variety of tasks, such as sitting with the patient to provide caregiver respite, light housekeeping, reading to the patient, running errands, listening and caring. The type of service performed is determined by the strengths and desires of the volunteers, matched with the needs and wishes of the patient and family. These very special people provide patients and family members with support and comfort during this significant time.

We are also looking for administrative volunteers to provide indirect support to the patient and their families, perform clerical duties in the hospice office and assist with bereavement program by mailing letters, and cards, and making phone calls.

REQUIREMENT: Must pass background check.

Our office is located in Dallas; however our patients reside throughout DFW area. We connect volunteers with families that reside near them.
