Hurry! Space is limited.

The Potomac needs your help! Do your part to stop pollution and restore our hometown river by spending a fall morning planting trees. Bring your friends and family and join Team Potomac and NOVA Parks at Algonkian Regional Park on November 5th!

We all know that trees and fresh air go hand-in-hand, but trees are also a river's best friend! Our healthy forested lands produce the cleanest waters in our region.

You will learn by doing, helping get 100 trees in the ground in the first of three reforestation projects in Loudoun County. You will learn about the essential link between trees and healthy rivers all while getting outside and enjoying the nice fall air!

When you are done, we will give you the tools you need to share all that you learned with your friends and neighbors.

Mission Statement

Potomac Conservancy safeguards the lands and waters of the Potomac River and its tributaries, and connects people to this national treasure

Description

Potomac Conservancy is a member-supported nonprofit that works to ensure the Potomac River boasts clean water, healthy lands, and vibrant communities. The Conservancy fights for improved water quality through conservation and advocacy, and empowers local landowners, volunteers, activists, members, and partners to lead the charge for clean streams and safe drinking water access.

Potomac Conservancy works one-on-one with private landowners to protect forested and open space lands; builds a vibrant and diverse river constituency to advocate for passage of river-friendly policies; and mobilizes thousands of volunteers in hands-on pollution cleanup efforts to raise awareness, inspire action and make a difference in our community.
