We are in need of a photographer for our gala style fundraiser event. The 2018 San Francisco Signature Chefs Auction features prominent local chefs and vintners offering their signature dishes and wines through the evening followed by a live auction. We need a photographer to help capture the guests, the food & drinks, and all the excitement of the night.

We have one shift available: 4:30pm-8:30pm. Please join us as a volunteer and help make our event a huge success!

The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of all babies by preventing premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality. Each year nearly 490,000 babies are born in California and the March of Dimes strives to help each and every one of them through our programs of research, education, community services and advocacy. We rely of volunteers like you to continue making this possible!

Mission Statement

Our mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. We carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives. March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects, low birthweight.

Description

The first great polio epidemic in the U.S. was in 1916. The disease infected mostly children, killing thousands and leaving many more paralyzed. On a summer day in 1921, Franklin D. Roosevelt became one of its victims and the March of Dimes was born.

Through life saving research we beat polio, but we continue our efforts to help children today by working to save babies from the silent crisis of premature birth.
