ANY FRIDAY friday SEPT. 2016-MAY 2017
from 11:30am-3:30pm
Break at 1:12pm - 1:42pm
CD Fulkes PTA represents a Title 1 middle school in Round Rock, Tx.
CD Fulkes needs people like you who want to encourage our students to go to college. We want community volunteers to speak to our students in a small classroom setting. Encourage them to get where you are by setting college as a goal. Tell them your story. AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a college-readiness system designed to increase the number of students who enroll in four-year colleges. Although AVID serves all students, it focuses on the least served students in the academic middle. The formula is simple - raise expectations of students and, with the AVID support system in place, they will rise to the challenge.
