Museo de las Americas is currently looking for excited and enthuistastic interns to support Museo staff in the following derpartments:
Art Education Support
Get creative in education and experience Museo’s Education Department! Assist in prepping art materials for Cultural Art Workshops, maintain art material inventory, provide support for art curriculum development, and much more! Museo provides programming for over 15,000 students a year and we need interns to make that number grow!
Visitor Services (Gift Shop)
Help with customer service, re-stock and label merchandise, and update the displays to maintain appeal. Assist in creating an exciting space to share art work and other merchandise in Museo’s Gift Shop.
Exhibition and Collections
Document, catalog, photograph, research, and organize Museo’s permanent collections of Pre-Hispanic, Folk, and Fine Art from throughout the Americas. Work with the art and artifacts, and train with the Collections Manager. Experience all of Museo’s treasures!
Work with our PR and Marketing department to publicize events; creating flyers, posting information to websites and soical media, conducting research, writing press relases, graphic design and distributing flyers. Experience what it is like to promote a dynamic and exciting organization!
Work behind the scenes with development staff in administration and sponsourship management. Work may vary including research, filing, data entry, photocopying, and more. Use your office skills and learn new ones. Experience what it takes to maintain a non-profit organization and help in its' growth!
