Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Dixon is currently NOT accepting any new volunteers at this time. This information will be updated when we have new volunteer opportunities available. Please see the information below to see the types of volunteer opportunities we typically have available.

The City of Dixon is currently accepting volunteer applications. There are a variety of opportunities for citizens interested in volunteering their time; from office/clerical work to landscaping and maintenance; just to name a few.

Generally, these volunteer opportunities require a 6-month time commitment, as program participants may require training. Most volunteer applicants must be at least 18 years of age (some positions require a minimum age of 16), will be required to fill out the Volunteer Program Application, and submit to a Department of Justice background check prior to placement. We no longer accept court community service appointment referrals.
