A Free Bird is a 501(C)(3)non-profit organization based in New York City. Our focus is to provide children, ages 4-18 who are patients or survivors of juvenile cancer, the opportunity to explore their artistic passions and give them the strength to fight their disease. We believe that artistic expression is critical for healing! A Free Bird supports children affected by cancer in their exploration of art, music, acting, poetry, writing, singing and any other artistic passion they may have.

Description

The tutor must understand every art form such as painting, drawing, clay, and finger painting. Being able to fill all of these roles is an ideal candidate, someone who is able to spend their time working with a child and being patient with them. Specifically looking for an art teacher who has taught in the past and has 12 weeks available to help a child in need. This individual should have knowledge in how to deal with sick children, this is not a requirement but must understand that we do have children who are sick and you must know how to schedule your program accordingly. One child is a teenager and one is 8 yr old.

Must have the ability to work for 12 weeks, an hour per week and will be compensated for the transportation.
