About

Immediate help needed!

Our exciting new project Sustainable Food Basket needs website improvement www.cestabasicasustentavel.com.br to show the 4 endangered eco-systems of Brazil and the 4 baskets of food our nutritionist designed, as well as the positive impact it will generate in climate change, by reducing deforestation and saving kids from malnutrition. This website is crucial to attract funding from global sponsors. The website needs to look slick and be easy to navigate. We are seeking an intern with the ability to digest information from the founder/director and translate it into a concise attractive end product. The ideal candidate has initiative to ask questions and the ability to work independently. Though allowed much creative freedom of vision, understanding the overall goals of the project is essential. In addition to web site design/construction, the ideal candidate would also have experience building social media graphics as well. Professional design experience is not necessary, but an eye for balance and visual appeal is truly important. Knowledge of the differing size requirements for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and the ability to adjust visuals accordingly is a necessity.

As Social Media Coordinator, you will create and schedule posts for our Twitter and Facebook pages with any relevant hashtags related to our objectives. Manage the page for mentions, favorites, retweets and messages, responding to any engagement, thanking people for following, etc. Follow and engage with top influencers and celebrities relevant to our scope. We will collaborate with you to brainstorm on our social strategy and optimize our social profiles and cover images.

A passion for Sustainable Development, food and Brazil is a big plus. The website will be in English and Brazilian Portuguese, so if the candidate speaks Portuguese that’s even better, but not mandatory.

Get real experience in non-profit work and receive benefits of letters of recommendation, LinkedIn endorsement, internship hours, and a credit as web designer.
