On October 22nd, volunteers from across the country will unite for Make A Difference Day, one of the largest annual single-days of service nationwide. Since 1992, volunteers and communities have come together on Make A Difference Day with a single purpose: to improve the lives of others.
Join us in improving lives through conservation by helping TLC to prepare Brumley Forest Nature Preserve for a public opening in Spring of 2017! This Brumley Forest work day will be focused on adding to a multi-use trail that will be available for hiking and mountain biking. By the time it opens, Brumley Forest will have over 12 miles of trail through some of the most beautiful land in Orange County!
Volunteers should be six years of age of older and minors must be accompanied by an adult or guardian. Please register so we have an approximate head count! Because the preserve is not yet open to the public, the address is provided to registered volunteers only.

Mission Statement
Triangle Land Conservancy strives to create a healthier and more vibrant Triangle region by safeguarding clean water, protecting natural habitats, supporting local farms and food, and connecting people with nature through land protection and stewardship, catalyzing community action, and collaboration.
Description
Triangle Land Conservancy (TLC) is a membership-supported, nonprofit that sees the Triangle region as an increasingly healthy and vibrant place to live where wild and working lands are protected and everyone has access to open space, clean water, and local food. TLC’s protected sites in Wake, Durham, Orange, Chatham, Johnston, and Lee counties encompass more than 17,000 acres, including five nature preserves open year-round to visitors and a canoe access area, all free of charge. We protect land in a variety of ways, including purchasing land, holding conservation easements on important tracts of land, and working with partners to make a larger impact through joint conservation efforts.
