During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Are you tired of waking up alone in an empty bed? Do you have plenty of extra time but no one to spend it with? Why not enrich your life while saving another by fostering a pet?
Every year, almost 2 million healthy and adoptable animals are euthanized in shelters in the U.S. in large part due to lack of space. But the good news is that through fostering, YOU can make a difference.
By opening your home to an animal in need, you create a space in the shelter for another life to be saved. Together, we can spare more animals from suffering and euthanasia.
If you decide that fostering is for you, just tap on the "I Want to Help" button above to learn more.

AGSR specializes in the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of homeless German Shepherds, mostly acquired from Wisconsin shelters. These dogs have no advocates and are frequently scheduled for euthanasia (even puppies!) because there just aren't enough homes for all the dogs that need homes right now. Our foster homes are almost always full with shelter dogs, so we generally do not accept owner surrenders.
We are a home based foster organization made up entirely of volunteers. All dogs live with us like our family until they are adopted. We fully vet all dogs, micro chip, spay/neuter and give the best care that we can to all our foster dogs. We also take in hospice dogs from shelters and homes when they can no longer stay there. We also work to try and keep dogs in their homes whenever possible by helping find aid for medical and food needs.
We'll work with your schedule.
