Humane Deer Population Control - Orientation Oct 25

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: CLIFTONDEERORG

There are various opportunities for Clifton Deer volunteers. Clifton Deer needs volunteers to leaflet the surrounding neighborhoods of the parks (gaslight district) and possibly educate some about our humane deer spaying program. We also need dedicated volunteers to assist in fundraising and community outreach efforts, and to help with deer transporting in December.

We will have a mandatory volunteer orientation on October 25th from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the University of Cinicinnati Main Campus in French West. Room TBA.

About CLIFTONDEERORG

Location:

724 LAFAYETTE AVE APT 2, CINCINNATI, OH 45220, US

Mission Statement

Here in the historic neighborhood of Clifton, we love our deer and don’t want to harm them . . . we just wish there weren’t so many of them. Deer overabundance contributes to serious problems, including damage to the forest understory that can devastate the eco-system. That’s why Clifton and Cincinnati’s award winning Parks have joined forces to test an innovative and humane approach to the problem of overabundant deer: Cincinnati’s first non-lethal deer fertility control Pilot Program.

Description

Clifton Deer depends on volunteers to leaflet property owners inside the study area (bordered by Clifton Ave, Ludlow, and I-75) to educate them and inform them of our project, host fundraisers to fund our research, set up and tend bait stations, prepare the field surgical facility, and ask for donations!
