Each year, Florida Baptist Children’s Homes provides more than 50,000 services to children and families through Compassion Ministries - providing food, clothing, diapers and other items to those in crisis. In addition to meeting tangible needs through this ministry, we are also able to provide for the intangible needs of children, bringing life-changing support to families.
Volunteering Opportunities Overview
The primary responsibility of this volunteer position is to work in the Harold Clark Simmons Compassion Center. Volunteers are connected to a role that is rewarding to them and essential to Compassion Ministries. Opportunities include clerical helpers, warehouse helpers, donation pickups, backpack helper, sorting clothes and more.
Minimum of one half a day a week, Monday-Friday, and a minimum of a six month period of commitment is desired. However, there are opportunities for biweekly and monthly volunteers as well. Compassion Ministries volunteers are scheduled on weekdays between 8:30AM-4:30PM. Please review our other posts to learn more about our current opportunities to volunteer.
