DEBATE-Kansas City (DKC) is a non-profit organization housed at UMKC that provides 40 Kansas City area middle and high schools with the opportunity to compete in academic debate. In order for us to best serve our students we need volunteers from the community to judge debates and provide mentorship to our member schools. Anyone can judge and help make a difference!

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Judging Debates: DKC has both online and on-site training.
  • Mentors (Individual): DKC recruits people to individually work with schools. Most mentors have a debate background but it is not required.
