About The Oregon Garden

Mission Statement

The Oregon Garden's mission is to display the diversity of plant material in the Pacific Northwest; provide an instructional laboratory with its display gardens and educational conference facilities; support a world-class horticultural research center; and through all of its functions, serve as a destination for the enjoyment and education of the public.

The 80-acre Garden, which officially opened to the public in 2001, is evolving as it grows into a world-class botanical display garden. Each year its collections and plantings are added to, creating a living, growing environment that is planned to ultimately include 240 acres of Oregon's lush Willamette Valley.
