We will be holding a new CASA training class. CASAs are volunteers trained to determine and advocate for what is in the best interest of abused and neglected children who have been removed from their homes by the Department of Family and Children’s Services. The goal is to see that a child gets a safe and permanent home as soon as possible.

In the last year, Enotah CASAs have advocated for 217 children in the Enotah Circuit. CASA has an offices in Blairsville. The CASA program not only works for children, it has also saved Towns County nearly $68,000 and Union County over $89,000 with the volunteer services they provided. If you are interested in learning about volunteering for CASA, or to make a donation, please call 706-864-0300, or visit www.enotahcasa.org.

About ENOTAH CASA INC

Mission Statement

Enotah CASA seeks to reduce and reverse the effects of child abuse and neglect. CASA alleviates the feelings of abandonment and alienation that scar these young lives by harnessing the compassion and gene rosity of caring adults who can and do have an enormous impact on the development of the child at all ages. The genius of the CASA model is that it effectively capitalizes on a huge reservoir of caring by mobilizing it in service to children. CASA makes the most immediate connection--one caring adult to one child in need--that can be the turning point in a life that has been interrupted and shaken. Our most significant accomplishments happen every day--when an overlooked opportunity is found, a service is secured or an adult connection is made that will help to keep a child safe and give him or her an opportunity to succeed in life.

Description

Enotah CASA improves the lives of children in the dependency system by pairing them with trained volunteer advocates.
