During these uncertain times, how can we help?

Volunteers for Inter-American Development Assistance (VIDA)
Hello - we could really use some help with social media. Just to keep it fresh and relevant
so that when its possible to have volunteers back in the Berkeley warehouse we will have an audience
that is interested. We have been silent during the pandemic and yet there are good stories to share.
If you are interested in Latin America, health, philanthropy, and or international studies - and of course like to craft social media - then this could be the gig for you. Length of time will be something we collab on.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.

Volunteers for Inter-American Development (VIDA) provides assistance to health institutions and development projects that support people in need in Latin America, regardless of race, religion, or politics. VIDA was founded in response to the cholera epidemic that broke out in Peru in early 1991, and due to inadequate health care and poor sanitary conditions, quickly spread to neighboring Latin American Countries. Since that time, VIDA has extended its efforts throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, shipping over 152 ocean containers carrying more than $114 million worth of medical aid to Chile, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Peru.
VIDA works in partnership with local Bay Area health insitutions, clinics and individuals to collect surplus medical goods and reusable medical equipment to give life to others, by shipping much needed supplies and equipment to underserved communities in Latin America and divert valuable medical supplies from local landfills.
We'll work with your schedule.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
