ORGANIZATION: Youth N.O.W.

Learning Center.Coffee Shop
There's a ton to do at our High School location - from hanging with friends in our Coffee Shop to getting homework done in our upstairs learning center, our afterschool center provides a safe, nurturing location for youth to make their own.

Do you have a certain affinity for Math, History, Science or English?!?! Then we need YOU!

At Youth N.O.W. Student Center we offer one on one tutoring for the youth of Watsonville. Ages ranging from 12 to 18.

This year the need for tutors has been through the roof and we need your help. If you have ever considered sharing your knowledge of a subject and helping a child build a better relationship with education then we are the place for you!!!

Just a few hours a week can really make a difference in a child's life!

If you are interested in becoming one of our valued tutors contact Alexis at arocha@youthnowcenter.com

Mission Statement

Youth N.O.W. is committed to engaging youth in a nurturing community where they grow personally and academically through individualized programs that cultivate success.

Description

Youth N.O.W. is comprised of two separate program sites, one for high school students located on Carr Street and one for middle school students located on Madison Street. Each site has both a learning center space and a recreational social space. Our learning centers offer individualized contracted tutoring, homework help, independent study, school project resources, computer labs, and printing services. Youth N.O.W.’s social and recreational spaces are comprised of our high school 'coffee house’ and the middle school gym. These sites serve as spaces for activities such as enrichment classes, clubs, sports clinics and evening social events. During the summer, we offer a five-week all-day program reflective of our school-year programming. No-cost food is offered at both sites thanks to our community partners.
