Volunteering as a judge is a very meaningful way to get involved in our debate program. Judges play a critical role in helping to teach our students. Even if you have never judged a debate before you are welcomed to our events.

Debates are the core of what we do - we want to give every student we work with a chance to find their voice and express their opinion. Each debate needs a judge, and our average tournament has about 60 debates occurring at once - so we need a lot of volunteers who are willing to be respectful and encouraging listeners.

No experience is necessary - we host a brief on-site training in the morning and can send training resources via email. It takes about 30 minutes to get all the background information necessary to judge a debate.
