Volunteering

Travel with a purpose this summer to Mexico and get a truly memorable experience whilst helping those in real need!

The Mariposas Environmental Service Adventures is a 10 day environmental education and cultural exchange trip for young woman in Puebla, Mexico from marginalized communities. The aim is to foster global citizenship, engage in cultural exchange, positively contribute to the community, and develop a deeper understanding of the world's environmental issues in areas outside of their communities. There will be 8 young women who participate that will be their first time for many things: flying on a plane, seeing the ocean, swimming, and more! The participants volunteer more than 25 hours working with local kids teaching about environmental sustainability and volunteering with local turtle conservation efforts. This year we will be going to San Panch, Mexico just 1 hour from Puerto Vallarta. See last year's program video: https://youtu.be/4x36R3HV4j8

Program will take place around July 22-July 30th, dates will be determined by February.

Housing During Program:

Volunteer will have their own bed and stay with the group in a hostel in San Pancho close to where the volunteer activities occur. People make their own breakfast and lunch, but take turns in preparing the communal dinner.

The minimum age requirement is 18 and seeking females to help empower these young women. Volunteer should be flexibility, a sense of humour, a love for the environment and working with youth. You will need to have a basic level of fitness and a basic knowledge of English and Spanish is required.
