ORGANIZATION: Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County

The Refugee Foster Care Program at Rebecca Children's services provides a new beginning for young girls in the program. The comprehensive programs and services, link girls to the services needed by helping them overcome language barrier obstacles that keep them from these services.

Having someone to translate for her will ensure she receives the services beneficial for her stabilization.

The Volunteer will attend sessions at the Hospital Diversion Program; Translate the sessions from Korean to English and vice versa; May assist with translating for group and individual therapy.

The Voluunteer must have strong interpersonal skills; Fluency in Korean and Spanish, Goo dlistening skills and patience.

Volunteer Requirements: must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and clean driving record; background clearance, bi-yearly TB skin test record, and must complete the volunteer training
