Operation: Cigars for Warriors, a volunteer driven, nation-wide 501 C3 nonprofit organization is looking for volunteer members to serve on our board's public relations committee. Help us fulfill our mission to send active duty troops deployed in combat zones premium (by request) cigar care packages.
Since 2012 we have sent over 700,000 cigars to troops deployed in combat zones or long term deployments one of their most requested items, cigars and cigar accessories. Currently our requests by the troops is outpacing our supply heading into the holiday season. Your time and talents are needed. Help us make 2017 our best year yet for Operation: Cigars for Warriors by volunteering to use your writing, research, data entry, and social media skills.
Position Qualifications:Interested parties should have:
A strong interest in serving active duty military personnel
Writing, social media, public relations, data entry, research, or blog experience
Available to meet by phone the first Thursday of every month, 7 p.m. CST

Our top priority is collecting then dispersing premium cigars and accessories to American Service Men and Women serving in combat zones (Air, Land and Sea).
Description
Cigars for Warriors is an 'IRS registered, 501(c)3 corporation that sends
premium cigars and cigar accessories to U.S. soldiers stationed in combat zones and ·
long-term deployments all over the world.
While a cigar might sound like a luxury to someone. sitting at home watching football,
it can be a much needed mental break for those serving in a combat zone. It's also a
link to home. It is not unusual for us to receive requests from those serving overseas
that have no one back in the states sending them care packages. Having a social
support system not only helps soldiers during deployment, but will help them
transition back into civilian life. It is also more than just the act of receiving the care
package; it is creating good memories and bonding with your brothers and sisters in
arms. We have received e-mails and photos from hundreds of soldiers who will forever .... '·
now remember the cigars they smoked with those that they worked and fought beside
while serving so far away.
Operation: Cigars For Warriors has sent out over 650,000 cigars to deployed military
units since May of 2012. You can help by signing up to be an official collection point,
sponsors, donor, or volunteer.
