We have closed the volunteer list for distribution as well as for backpack stuffing. The wonderful response that we received was heartwarming and so appreciated. For those of you that won't be able to make it, please send your good thoughts to all of the homeless neighbors in and around St. Louis that we will be able to help. Our supporters are proof that people truly do care, and that kindness is the rule, not the exception. Thank you one and all!
This is a hands-on event, with interactions with our homeless neighbors. We will set up backpacks with scarves, and hoodies. There will then be one-on-one distributions as you help the guests go through choosing their backpacks, and hoodies. Children are welcome as long as they are accompanied by a parent and are not left unattended. Volunteers who took part last year had their lives changed...hope you will say the same this year!

About BACK@YOU
Location:
5010 Murdoch Ave, St. Louis, MO 63109, US
Mission Statement
BACK@YOU was created to help open people’s eyes to those that so many of us walk blindly by each day. The homeless are not invisible, and we should not act as if they don’t exist. We all deserve to be treated with dignity and kindness. None of us is less of a person for not having a home. With those principles as our guide, we simply fill backpacks with some essential supplies and basic comforts to share with our homeless neighbors, and our volunteers distribute these backpacks. We make each of our backpacks to show its recipient that someone cares. They may be small gestures in the grand scheme of things, but they are filled with love.
