Volunteers will staff our food pantry as well as the Clothes Closet. Volunteer duties include helping clients check in, assisting clients to select food, and sorting and straightening food shelves. For the Clothes Closet, volunteers are needed to assist clients with shopping as well as keeping the Closet straightened up.
We are looking for a potential long-term volunteer or a group who can adopt one of the Food Pantry/Clothes Closet days.
Food Pantry/Clothes Closet operating hours are Friday, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Volunteers need to arrive at 12:30pm to help set-up and get ready before the doors open.

House of Ruth is a nonprofit organization that strengthens lives for those with or affected by HIV/AIDS.
Description
Founded in 1992 by eight friends, four of whom were Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, House of Ruth was incorporated to meet t he local service needs of women and children infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. The service population has since expanded to include men and now focuses on the entire family.
House of Ruth offers housing and support services with a holistic focus on individuals who are HIV-positive, as well as their family members who count on them for financial and emotional support.
