ORGANIZATION: Volunteers of America Northern Colorado Services

Major disasters can strike our community at any time. Learn to safeguard friends and neighbors by participating in disaster simulation training on October 22nd. During this 2.5 hour session each participant will be given a role to play -first responder, nonprofit director, city councilperson, media representative, victim, etc.- and together participants will work on the issues that emerge from this mock disaster. Thirty minutes will be spent on briefing and receiving roles, one hour on active simulation, and one hour on debriefing, reviewing, and planning.

Please contact us by Friday, October 14th to register for this event. Groups are welcome. This program is organized by Larimer County VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters), Volunteers of America, and other community organizations. Program is presented by Ready Montana through a grant from FEMA.
