Volunteer Photographer needed to capture magical moments at Starry Night San Francisco 8.5K
Join us at the Starry Night 8.5K, an evening walk/run that gives hope to children and their families fighting one of the deadliest forms of childhood cancer. Each of the 28,000 steps in this 8.5K honors one of our Stars, the 28,000 children living with a brain tumor. The course will include a shorter distance for walkers and there’s even a children’s 50-yard dash anyone can help us cure the kids!
Following the walk/run, enjoy food, music, entertainment and fun for the whole family. The event will close as participants light the nighttime sky with lanterns to show support and hope for a cure. This beautiful and meaningful ceremony brings you together with the families you’re helping, and as a community we demonstrate our commitment to curing the kids.
The funds you raise through Starry Night 8.5K fund critically needed research into the more than 100 types of childhood brain tumors and provide support services for local families. Navigating a brain tumor diagnosis is one of the hardest things a parent can do. Your funds will help provide educational materials, financial support and other resources for families fighting for their child’s life.
