Join the Mount Diablo State Park Stewardship Team and help protect sensitive natural areas in our beautiful Juniper Campground! Juniper Campground is located near the summit of Mount Diablo, with stunning views across much of the Bay Area, including the skyline of downtown San Francisco. For this work day, we’ll join forces with a group of volunteers from Chevron and paint newly installed bollards, large posts that prevent cars from driving into sensitive natural areas and trampling native vegetation. Refreshments will be generously provided by Chevron, and FREE CAMPING is available Friday, October 21 - Sunday, October 23. Meet at Juniper Campground on Summit Rd., and come dressed to paint. RSVP: silas.ellison@parks.ca.gov.
