CHS

Created in 1902, Children's Home Society of Florida (CHS) is the oldest and largest statewide private not-for-profit provider of services to children and families in Florida. The Intercoastal Division serves nearly 1,800 children and families in Broward County each year through a full spectrum of prevention and intervention programs. Services include foster care, adoption, clinical services, emergency shelter, counseling, mentoring, and more.

We would like to have holiday gift baskets for our families this year. A gift basket can contain anything from a dinner to gift cards to toys. We would encourage people to donate "Dinner in a Basket" for Thanksgiving and toys for our annual holiday drive that ends in December. Contact our volunteer department with any questions or just to let us know that you are planning on creating some baskets!

Mission Statement

Building Bridges to Success for Children

Description

Founded in 1902 as an adoption agency, Children’s Home Society of Florida is one of the oldest and largest statewide children’s organizations in Florida. Over the years our services have expanded to include the fight to end child abuse and neglect. Each year, we help nearly 1,800 vulnerable children and families in Broward County. We have been able to do this because of wonderful people like you, who understand how important it is to ensure that children are safe in loving, caring homes.
