The Young Women's Resource Center is looking for a friendly, outgoing volunteer to help with Office Assistance while our Office Manager is out! Hours are flexible and depend on need, and we are looking for an individual that is comfortable accepting phone calls and visitors to the center.
About Young Women's Resource Center
818 5th Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50309, US
The Mission of the Young Women's Resource Center is to embrace and inspire young women to become strong, self-confident and successful.
The Vision of the Young Women's Resource Center is that in our community, young women realize their full potential.
The Young Women's Resource Center serves more than 1,600 young women each year through our 13 programs, including: support groups, individual counseling, and in-school and after-school programs.
Founded in 1978, this non-profit agency provides gender specific services to all young women ages 10-21 in central Iowa. Founder Louise Noun and other community leaders believed young women needed a safe place to receive support, education, and advocacy. A wide variety of services surrounding perinatal services and prevention services are provided in schools, community organizations, and at the Center.
