The Awesome People awards were created to honor the unsung heroes in our community. So many everyday people that do amazing things without even asking for a thank you. This is our time to celebrate them. Nominees come from the Jackson-Metro area (Madison, Rankin, Clinton, Etc) As a committee member, you will help direct your community to go and nominate outstanding individuals so they may be honored in our upcoming April 2017 celebration. Also as a committee member, you will see all the nominees and help us select our 3 Awesome People of Jackson. Most work will be done online and via e-mail, so no actual physical presence is required unless you really want to attend some meetings. Our focus is investigating and identifying novel therapeutic approaches utilizing but not limited to natural sources and techniques. All natural sources must be generally available to the public and easily accessible. Exotic or rare plants/vegetables/fruits/methods are generally excluded unless special clearance is given by the Research Advisory Board.
