Provide tutoring for adult learners. Subjects may include but are not limited to: writing, reading, math, and GED. Tutors will collaborate with clients and staff to assess learner’s needs and how best to address them.
Help learner develop confidence and a positive attitude about learning.
Select materials and approaches that are suitable for the learner’s ability and needs.
Foster positive relationships and maintain appropriate boundaries.
Maintain a safe environment and confidentiality.
- Be on time and consistent.
Previous tutoring experience (personal or professional) strongly preferred. Must be dependable, prompt, flexible, patient, and able to relate well to a diverse group of people. Background check and references required. Tutoring schedules will vary depending on the learner’s needs and availability.
