ORGANIZATION: MISSOULA FGP

If you are age 55 or over and want to help Seniors remain living independently, giving them dignity while they age, and help them live healthier - this opportunity is for you. There is a wait list of people who need help doing simple chores, going grocery shopping, getting to the doctor, or doing activities such as walking with a friend, playing games or going out to lunch and you can help them!

If you have 15 hours a week to help a person in need please contact Laura at 406-728-7682 or by email at fgpscp@missoulaagingservices.org for more details. You may even be eligible for mileage reimbursement and a tax free stipend- all for doing what you can to help someone in need.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIFE OF A CHILD

The Foster Grandparent Program offers seniors age 55 and older opportunities to serve as mentors, tutors, and loving caregivers for children and youth with special needs. If you are interested in serving as a Foster Grandparent, you must meet income eligibility guidelines, and you will receive a modest, tax-free stipend to offset the cost of volunteering. Foster Grandparents serve 20 hours a week, usually 4 hours a day Monday through Friday, serving children directly with one-on-one, hands-on service. Other benefits include reimbursement for transportation, some meals during service,and accident and liability insurance while on duty. Pre-Service and monthly training sessions provided.
