Be a Sprouts After School Chef Instructor!

Share your passion for cooking with the next generation of chefs!

Currently recruiting for our Winter After School Enrichment Series!

Sprouts Cooking Club is a Bay­ Area Nonprofit that teaches kids from all socio­economic backgrounds what REAL food is all about through hands­-on cooking with REAL chefs from hotshot restaurants like Tartine Bakery, Delfina, and Chez Panisse! We are proud to have Alice Waters and Jamie Oliver on our board of directors!

We are currently looking for After School Chef Instructors and Assistants in the Pleasanton area that are passionate about Alice Water’s mission to educate kids about the importance of nutrition and cooking! You’ll get to work hands-on with our chef kiddos who are so excited to get cookin’ in the kitchen with you! It’s a super rewarding way to use your culinary chops in a fun and exciting environment!

We are looking for motivated, personable instructors interested in nutrition and passionate about cooking. Strong leadership, an appreciation for community service, quick thinking and adaptability to new environments are all key qualities that we look for as we interview potential team members.

We hope you join us for a season of delicious food and tons of cooking with fun and energetic kid chefs!

Dates and Time Commitment

  • Our Winter 2017 After School Enrichment Program runs from January to March!

  • Weekly classes, between an hour to an hour and a half long (plus setup and cleanup time)

Sample Schedule:

Jefferson Elementary

Mondays 3:00pm - 4:20pm (with a half hour for set up and clean up)


Location

  • We are looking for instructors and assistants in the Pleasanton area!


Class Details

  • Class size range from 7-12 kids

  • Ages range between 7-12

  • Lesson plans and ingredients will be provided!
