Mentors Needed at Find-A-Friend

How would you like to make a lasting impact on a young person's life? All it takes is a little time and the willingness to transform a life.

We match trained, postive adult role models with youth ages 6-17 in a mentor-protégé relationship. Find-A-Friend also facilitates group mentoring for civic organizations to work with groups of youth on projects and activities.Serving almost 200 at risk-youth per year with over a 95% success rate at keeping kids out of the court system.

Prospective Mentor Requirements -

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must attend a 3 hour Mentor Training Session
• Must undergo background check

Mentor Responsibilities

• Meet with protege for at least 2 hours a week, 8 hours a month
• One year commitment to mentoring
• Expose youth to more diverse way of thinking
• Help advise and guide younger and less experienced person
