Time, Talent, & Treasure

For just two hours twice a week, Adult Literacy Program volunteers have many opportunities to share their skills, time, and talents with adults who are goal-oriented and motivated to succeed. You don't need any special skills, just compassion and a desire to empower someone to build a better tomorrow.

Tutors will be fully trained and then matched with a student one-on-one or with a small group.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • One-on-One Tutor
  • Small Group Tutor
  • Front Desk Volunteer
  • Administrative Aide
  • Job Coaching, Online Applications, Resume Help

You’ll help people to reach their individual goals while learning basic skills like reading, writing, math, computer basics, speaking & understanding English.

**All volunteers are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing. Anyone entering a FUM facility will have a mandatory temperature check. Remote tutoring options are available, and opportunities for social distancing in-person have been implemented (table and desk partitions, etc.)**
