If you have a crafty side, and a desire to work with seniors, 55+, this volunteer opportunity is for you. Seniors at Linbrook Ct. always appreciate an opportunity for social engagement and fun. Bringing your passion to this affodable housing community, whether it's knitting, painting, or a collection of other crafting skills, will leave a lasting positive mark at Linbrook.

This volunteer will work closely with Resident Services to plan, fund, and run activities according to their schedule. No previous experience is required.

Description

Mercy Housing was founded in 1981 in response to the lack of stable, affordable housing for vulnerable populations. In working to fulfill our mission, Mercy Housing California has developed more than 154 affordable housing communities in 36 counties throughout California, providing 17,000+ homes and serving over 24,000 people in need.

Mercy's commitment to program-enriched housing distinguishes us from many other large scale affordable housing developers. Housing is foundational - everyone needs a home. But many people who have endured poverty and other challenges need an additional hand-up to create the lives they want for themselves and their families. Our dedicated staff and volunteers work with residents right in their homes and neighborhoods on issues like health and wellness, housing stability, financial security as well as provide a full range of enriching out-of-school time options for youth.
