Position Summary: Catholic Charities of the East Bay has been diligently serving Alameda and Contra Costa counties for over 80 years in 3 primary program areas: Welcoming the Stranger, Healing Trauma, and Fostering Self-sufficiency.
Catholic Charities is seeking accreditation with the Council on Accreditation. As we work through the accreditation process, new forms and documents have been created and existing forms and documents have been revised. These new and revised forms and documents also need to be available in Spanish for use with our clients. The Volunteer Spanish Translator would work on updating the existing Spanish documents that have been revised and translating new created forms and documents.
This project is expected to last 6 to 8 weeks.
Reports to: Kathryn Lee, Director of Data Analytics and Quality Improvement

Translate documents and forms from English to Spanish

Qualifications/Requirements:
Must complete a Live Scan background check, which is paid for by CCEB
Must complete a brief online training in recognizing and reporting abuse
Must be available to intern at least 8-16 hours per week for four months
Enrollment in an internship program for academic credit at an accredited college or
university is required
Fluency in Spanish and English is required
Basic computer skills are required (Microsoft Windows and Word, Adobe Reader)
