Join our team! PAL Humane Society is looking for a Pet Food Pantry Assistant volunteer to support a wonderful cause. This job is critical to pantry operations, ensuring we are able to continue to meet the needs of our veteran, senior, low income, and homeless clients' pets each month.
This position includes assisting PAL's Pet Food Pantry Coordinator with food pickups and deliveries, moving, organizing, and inventorying pet food and other supplies in the pantry, and helping the coordinator with additional tasks to ensure that pantry operations are performed at the highest level.
This volunteer job directly impacts clients in PAL's pet food assistance programs by ensuring that pantry operations are successful, which in turns enables PAL to continue to serve clients and make sure they receive food for their pets each month.
Genuine concern for the welfare of animals that is consistent with the philosophy of PAL Humane Society. Ability to lift, or move using equipment, 20 lbs or more (large pet food bags). Ability to follow work plans, both independently and as part of a group.
Orientation with PAL Humane Society Volunteer Coordinator. Initial and ongoing training with the Pet Food Pantry Coordinator.
