Volunteers needed for the East Hills NeighborWoods Tree Planting! We will be replacing 4 trees in Cherry Park & more on Hermitage and Dennis!
What- East Hills NeighborWoods Tree PlantingWhen- Saturday, October 22nd 9am-1pm
Where- Meet at the corner of Fuller and Hermitage
What to wear? Please dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes. Bring gloves if you have them and a water bottle.
We work until all the trees are planted, but whatever time you can give is very much appreciated. Please consider joining us. We have planted hundreds of trees in the community so far and want to continue this important work with you! No experience necessary. Tools and direction will be provided by trained Citizen Foresters and other experienced tree planting volunteers.

The mission of Friends of Grand Rapids Parks is to empower people to cultivate vibrant parks, trees, and green spaces in the Grand Rapids community. Our vision is thriving parks and a sustainable urban forest that actively supports our community’s economic, environmental, and cultural health. Our organization was founded in 2008, with the belief that all kids in our community are entitled to experiences in parks and opportunities to connect with nature. For some children in our community, their neighborhood park is their backyard; a place to discover their hidden talents and a place to build confidence in trying new things.
