The Laramie Soup Kitchen always accepts new volunteers!
Located in the lower-level of St. Matthew's Episcopal Cathedral, we provide hot, nutritious lunches Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. and our doors are open from 8:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. We prefer volunteers stay for 1.5 to 2.0 hours, but we are flexible with longer or shorter shifts as your schedule allows. No need to sign up, just stop by.
While voluteering you may perform a variety of tasks including preparing and cooking meals, serving food, cleaning, stocking our pantires, as well as other miscellaneous jobs. During any shift volunteers may be asked to assist with cleaning and sanitizing refrigerators, freezers, and other kitchen and pantry equipment and spaces, sorting and dating non-perishable items, processing perishable items, moving donations from our main pantry to our secondary pantry, etc.
You are always encouraged to share the day's meal with our guests. You'll also want to review the Rules of the Kitchen sections found online at https://www.laramiesoupkitchen.org/rules-of-the-kitchen.
Volunteering at the Laramie Soup Kitchen provides not only the opportunity to serve one's community, but also meet new people and build relationships with staff, fellow volunteers, and firstname.lastname@example.org 307-460-1605
