Looking for someone to assist with sending out bereavement letters to families. This should not take too long- maybe an hour or two every few weeks. Flexible about when this can be done.

As well, we need willing hands to assist with general office work such as filing, making phone calls, writing and addressing cards, and putting binders together. Volunteers will be required to undergo a background check and have a flu vaccination and a drug screen, paid for by Loyola.

Please email joanne.moore002@luhs.org or call Joanne, Volunteer Coordinator, at 630-861-5183, if you are interested.

Location:

2301 West 22nd Street, Suite 107, Oak Brook, IL 60523, US

Mission Statement

We are a Trinity Home Health Services agency. We serve together in the spirit of the Gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within our communities.

Description

For patients experiencing life-limiting illnesses or injuries, Loyola Medicine’s hospice program provides compassionate and comprehensive care to adult and pediatric patients. Hospice care is for patients with terminal illness or injury and intended to provide comfort and relief from pain, allowing for the highest quality of life possible during the time that remains.

Loyola’s skilled doctors, nurses, therapists, chaplains and home health aides provide care that focuses not only on medical issues, but also emotional and spiritual needs. Care is provided in the patient's home, with inpatient care for symptom control and pain management provided at Loyola University Medical Center. Respite care is provided at skilled nursing facilities or at long-term care facilities in the community.

Loyola’s hospice team also provides support for the patient’s family, providing counseling, comfort and guidance on caring for your loved one with dignity. Loyola’s hospice care team is available 24/7.

Loyola’s Home Health Services and Hospice Care is a Medicare-certified, Illinois Department of Public Health-licensed home care and hospice.
