Enjoy great satisfaction as a compassionate volunteer who enriches the lives of patients with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones. All you need is genuine desire to help patients and their families, emotional maturity, ability to offer assurance and kindness without judgment, ability to listen with sensitivity and respect, flexibility to adapt to the changes in needs and background-check clearance. Full training is provided. Those who have recently lost a loved one are asked to wait a year before becoming volunteers.

Looking for someone to stuff bereavement letters into envelopes and then affix pre-printed address labels and prepare for mailing. This should not take too long- maybe an hour or two. Flexible about when this can be done.

As well, we need willing hands to assist with general office work such as filing, making phone calls, writing and addressing cards, and putting binders together. Computer skills are helpful but not necessary. Volunteers will be required to undergo a background check and have a flu vaccination.

Please email or call our Volunteer Coordinator if you are interested.
