Friends of Trees is seeking new crew leaders for the upcoming November- April planting season! Space is limited, register early to hold your spot!
Being a crew leader is one of our most popular volunteer roles! Not only is being a crew leader a great way to meet people, develop valuable leadership skills, but you get to learn how to plant trees the right way. You’ll also get to wear a Friends of Trees Vest at weekend plantings and receive the respect and admiration of the volunteers on your crew, as well as receive a coveted Tree Team t-shirt and great food (a hallmark of all of our planting events). Join this growing community of dedicated volunteers and help us increase our impact in the Eugene-Springfield metro region.
Crew Leaders are one of our most important volunteer roles as they help teach our volunteers how to plant trees and work together as a team. During our planting season, each crew leader commits to guiding small groups of planters at four Saturday morning plantings.
We ask that you commit to Crew Leading at 4 or more planting events November - April. This training will be on Thursday, November 3th at 6pm.
Thanks for your interest in being a leader for community tree-planting -- we look forward to working with you!
