By sitting at the bedside in the final hours, you can provide compassion and calm presence to hospice patients and their family members. Volunteers will visit patients in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home or hospital. You can let us know the days and times of availability and we will call you when a need arises. Days, evenings, nights or weekends - whatever your schedule allows and will make all the difference in helping hospice patients and families experience a peaceful transition. Our hospice offers opportunities in several areas so volunteers can serve in the county or neighborhoods most convenient to them. As little as two hours a month can make a difference and volunteers who do this find it very rewarding. This is an opportunity where you give by "being" rather than "doing".
