Mission Statement
Southeastern Professional School of the Arts Foundation (SPSA) is an empowerment program dedicated to providing a disciplined study of high-quality dance to low to moderate income families, at-risk youth, and survivors in the State of South Carolina.
Description
In 2009, SPSA was established as a 501C3 nonprofit organization with the Internal Revenue Service based on the needs of its constituents. To offer low to moderate income families, at-risk youth, and survivors in the State of South Carolina the highest quality of dance instruction based on over twenty (20) years of experience, SPSA will partner with the Southeastern School of Ballet to provide after school programs, group therapy, workshops, seminars, and annual performances. All programs are structured to 1) develop an appreciation of the Arts, 2) develop self-expression, 3) improve self-esteem and self- respect, 4) establish work ethic, 5) develop an awareness of physical well- being and, 6) develop sensitivity and empathy. Southeastern School of Ballet services over sixty-four (64) participants in the South Carolina Community annually. SPSA acts as a facilitating organization for coordinating the availability of the Arts in South Carolina. Services and resources are offered FREE for all of our participants through corporate and individual funding.
Southeastern Professional School of the Arts Foundation is a model structured support program organized to expose all children and adults to the Arts. SPSA offers services in two categories 1) Arts Education, and 2) Arts Counseling. Interested participants are encouraged to receive professional training regardless of their ability to pay.
