Come read with elementary aged students in an after-school setting at our Harbor Gateway/South Bay location! Help us instill a life-long love for reading by reading with a child. Minimum requirement: 1 hour per week, same day/time. Monday-Thursday 3-6pm. No experience required, but ability to engage with children is necessary. Background check and application required before start. On site teachers will provide guidance and support for reading program.

The Neighborhood Youth Association provides at risk youth from low income homes a comprehensive set of educational enhancement services in a sustained, focused manner over the critical years of their lives so that they may successfully reach a productive adulthood.
Description
NYA offers services that are long term and concentrated, adapted to meet the individual needs of each child and are measured against tangible goals. We have locations in Venice, Mar Vista (West LA), Downtown LA, Mid-City, and South LA/Harbor Gateway.
